Mexican Aerospace Industry
To venture into the aviation sector, research and innovation play an important role, for they generate a great opportunity for technological development.
Since 2005 the Mexican government began an effort to trigger investments in the aviation sector in the country. In recent years, the sustained growth of the aviation industry in Mexico has created a demand for human capital highly specialized in advanced engineering techniques, able to innovate and solve complex problems resulting from the integration of materials, components and aeronautical and aerospace systems.
The role of industry as an exporter of aerospace components requires staff prepared specifically in areas of aeronautical engineering, especially in the areas of structures, aerodynamics, materials, advanced manufacturing and flight dynamics.
The aviation market is a growing sector globally and generates endless opportunities for Mexican aviation industry. Today, the suppliers for OEM and Tier 1 require high requirements imposed by the global aviation industry, mainly in quality and safety.
To achieve sustainability of the sector in Mexico the different entities should focus on strengthening:
- The training of specialized human resources at all levels: technicians, engineers, masters and doctorates.
- Strengthening the system of innovation and technological development.
- Encourage industries that create and design in Mexico.
Only by combining these variables the country can capitalize on the historic occasion of the World Aeronautical investment and may be placed as a leader in the development of this sector.
